Measure the full path
Measure the intended location, doorways, hallways, stairs, and elevator clearance. Product dimensions alone do not show whether a large box can reach the room.
Check load ratings
Desks, shelves, chairs, and storage units should list weight limits. Compare those limits with the real equipment or items you plan to place on them.
Understand the materials
Terms such as solid wood, veneer, engineered wood, and metal frame describe very different construction. Read the material list instead of relying only on the finish shown in photos.
Review assembly and returns
Large-item returns can be inconvenient or expensive. Check assembly time, required tools, package count, return shipping, and restocking terms before buying.
